Privacy Policy

Last updated: 18 April 2026

1. Who We Are

PinFreshly is operated by Squareshine Pty Ltd, an Australian company. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use PinFreshly at pinfreshly.com.

We are committed to handling your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following information when you use PinFreshly:

  • Account information: Your email address and password (stored as a secure hash) when you create an account.
  • Blog information: Your blog URL and RSS feed URL, which you provide during setup.
  • Generated content: Pinterest pin images and copy generated from your blog feed, stored so you can view and download them.
  • Usage data: The number of pins generated, job status, and subscription plan — used to enforce quotas and billing.
  • Billing information: We do not store your payment card details. Payment is handled by Stripe, who stores card data on our behalf under their own security standards.
  • Communications: If you contact us by email, we retain that correspondence to respond to you.

We do not collect browsing history, device fingerprints, or any information beyond what is needed to operate the service.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide and operate the PinFreshly service
  • Process your subscription and payments via Stripe
  • Send transactional emails (account verification, password reset, quota warnings)
  • Respond to support requests
  • Monitor service health and fix technical issues

We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell your data to any third party.

4. Where Your Data Is Stored

Your data is stored on servers located in Australia. We operate our own self-hosted infrastructure (Supabase on a dedicated server in Australia) and do not use overseas cloud database providers for storing your account data or generated pins.

Some data is processed by third-party services as described in Section 5. Where third parties are located outside Australia, we take reasonable steps to ensure they handle your data in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles.

5. Third-Party Services

PinFreshly uses the following third-party services to operate:

Stripe

Payment processing. Stripe stores your payment card details and billing history. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.

Resend

Transactional email delivery (verification, password reset, quota notifications). Your email address is passed to Resend to send these messages.

Anthropic (Claude AI)

Used to generate pin headlines, descriptions, and calls-to-action from your blog post content. Blog post text from your RSS feed is sent to Anthropic's API for this purpose.

Google Analytics 4

We use Google Analytics 4 to collect aggregate statistics about which countries our visitors come from. This sets cookies (_ga, _ga_*) in your browser. We do not use it for behavioural tracking or advertising. See Google's Privacy Policy.

We do not share your data with any other third parties.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data and generated pins for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we permanently delete your profile, all generated pins, and all associated data. This action cannot be undone.

We may retain minimal records (such as billing history) for as long as required by law.

7. Your Rights

Under the Australian Privacy Act, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct any inaccurate information (you can update your blog URL and email in your account settings)
  • Delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Account page
  • Complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) if you believe we have mishandled your data

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected].

8. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information from unauthorised access. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. Access to the database is restricted and not exposed to the public internet. Generated pin images are served via short-lived signed URLs.

No system is completely secure. If you discover a security issue, please report it to [email protected].

9. Cookies

PinFreshly uses a session cookie (sb-auth-token) to keep you logged in, and Google Analytics 4 cookies (_ga, _ga_*) to collect aggregate geographic statistics about our visitors. We do not use advertising cookies or any other third-party tracking cookies. For full details, see our Cookie Policy.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect when the policy was last changed.
